The Plant as an Institution / Maker’s Hub focuses mainly on looping of various systems, resources and generate sustainable ways to practice production within the city. Here, the ‘loop’ becomes the key factor, the thriving identity of the institution. With ‘Looping’ as the concept, our project tries to think in similar lines with the existing Plant Institute, tries to link various components with the city.
The concept of ‘Loop’ tries to connect the program with multiple factors revolving within the site context and the city beyond. Considering the proposed Wild mile project, and the old demolished industrial buildings as the context, the project tries to make direct and indirect references to these developments.
