The elective coursework introduced grasshopper design tools along with its plugins. It allowed us to experiment with GH-script writing and develop projects using these tools.
Project: Pyramids have been a symbol of most stable geometric form since the Egyptian civilization and has translated into a symbol of culture and heritage across the globe.Using the geometric form of pyramid, the experiment was to develop reactive modules having flexible surfaces and a rigid frame.
The forces were applied in various permutations; defined by the grasshopper script to generate various forms defining the pyramidical framework and a soft surface, transformed by minimal and maximum area / volume of the structure.
These forms could be the new cultural symbols of the modern day world.
