Insitution
Illinois Institute of Technology
Guide
Paul Endres, Susan Conger-Austin
The building aims to achieve a zero-carbon sustainable design with wooden (timber) structural strands spanning across the units and overall structure of the tower. Based in the bay waters of Miami, which faces acute problems of rising sea levels, the tower aims to accommodate the community of 2100.
The first part of project aims in building a part of whole tower, considering a strand spanning upto 800 ft, with residential units and community spaces, connected with hyperloop systems of circulation. Here, the design aims at re-imagining the idea of living space, creating gardens for the community in the sky, and thus aiming to improve the quality of spaces and living factor.
